Gelnique Gelnique
FAQ
How is Gelnique® different from the oral OAB treatments that are currently available?

Gelnique® is very different from the commonly prescribed oral medications that treat OAB because it is the first and only topical gel available, and provides a unique combination for first-line success – excellent efficacy, excellent tolerability and smart gel technology.

With Gelnique®, there are no pills to take, just a small amount of clear gel applied once daily to specified areas to control OAB symptoms for 24 hours.

How is Gelnique® applied? How often? And where?

Gelnique® is easy to use and fits right into a woman’s daily skin care routine. Contents of a 1-gram sachet are applied once daily to the abdomen, thigh, or shoulder/upper arm, morning or night.

Gelnique® is a clear gel that dries quickly, doesn’t leave a residue and is and fragrance-free. It can be used after showering, before applying other lotions and creams, including sunscreen lotion.

Does it really work?

Yes. Gelnique® is clinically proven to reduce both the frequent and urgent need to urinate. Just one application each day is clinically proven to help control the symptoms of OAB for a full 24 hours.

In clinical trials, Gelnique® demonstrated excellent efficacy – 71% median reduction in incontinence episodes (p<0.0001). Reduction with placebo was 55.6%. Complete urinary continence reported by 27.8 percent of patients.

What are the most common side effects?

Gelnique
Gelnique® has demonstrated excellent tolerability with a low incidence of anticholinergic side effects (6.9% dry mouth, 1.3% constipation). In clinical trials, only 5.4% of patients exhibited application site reactions.
